The homeowners of this swimming pool and paver patio design had a vision for a modern outdoor sanctuary, equipped with various features for entertaining.

The finished space boasts a monochromatic pool deck with a stunning mosaic-like geometric design. Unilock Arcana™ slabs were selected for their clean edges and contemporary appearance. These slabs were integrated with the artificial turf, intertwining with the natural surroundings to create a mesmerizing mosaic-like pattern. Embracing biophilic design principles, this design not only enhances the visual appeal of the pool deck but also fosters a sense of harmony with the natural environment, contributing to an inviting atmosphere that promotes positive health and well-being.

Arcana slabs boast EnduraColor™ technology, guaranteeing a refined surface that maintains its vibrant color for years. Additionally, they feature EasyClean™ technology, which provides integral stain resistance to ensure faster cleanup of spills before a stain can develop. With Arcana’s non-slip surface, navigating the pool deck is safer, helping to prevent slips and falls, particularly when wet.

Coinciding with the pool deck’s design was an elegantly shaded pergola featuring a captivating waterfall cascading from the roof of the pergola. The pergola, constructed using Lineo™ Dimensional Stone in Granite Blend, features Ledgestone™ pillar caps in a complementary gray hue, enhancing the backyard’s minimalistic design. This feature adds a cozy ambiance with the soothing sound of free-flowing water. Patio lighting was then installed under the pillar caps, helping create a serene atmosphere while also providing illumination for visitors during nighttime hours.

To accommodate the slight changes in elevation from the swimming pool to the rear entrance of the patio, a raised patio was constructed using Unilock Treo™ Smooth in Granite. Treo Smooth was selected for its permeability, characterized by a wider joint gap that enables rainwater absorption into the subsoil. This feature prevents water from accumulating on the surface and provides nourishment to nearby shrubs and planters. The design of the raised patio deck also incorporates an outdoor kitchen with a built-in grill and bar island, constructed using Lineo™ Dimensional Stone in Granite Blend. It is complemented by multiple bar stools, providing a convenient spot for serving drinks to friends by the pool. Next to the outdoor kitchen is a semi-circular loveseat and table, creating a cozy area to relax while enjoying the view of the backyard swimming pool and water feature.

 Toward the rear corner of the yard, an enclosed seating area features a cozy fire pit centerpiece, perfect for relaxing on crisp summer nights. The fire pit was designed using Lineo™ Dimensional Stone in Granite Blend and topped with Ledgestone™ Fullnose coping.

Overall, this stunning biophilic design-inspired project incorporates several natural elements to create a Zen-like atmosphere. It provides an aesthetically pleasing, multi-purpose entertainment space that can be enjoyed year-round.
