The owners of this lakeside retreat had a vision for their backyard—a versatile space for year-round enjoyment, complete with a raised patio, modern outdoor kitchen, and poolside oasis.

Before incorporating these dream features, the project needed to account for the natural slope of the yard leading toward the lake’s edge. To tackle this challenge, a massive, raised patio was constructed using Unilock SienaEdge™ in Bavarian Blend, stretching seamlessly from end to end. The main paver bed on this elevated patio showcases Beacon Hill™ Smooth slabs, cleverly laid at a 45-degree angle to captivate the eye and draw guests’ attention across the patio. These large format slabs are manufactured with EnduraColor™ technology, providing a more refined surface that maintains its vibrant colors over time, even in the face of pool chemicals like chlorine. A double-wide border of Copthorne® pavers in Basalt, coupled with Universal Coping, offers a smooth transition around the pool, while beach lounge chairs beckon at the pool’s edge for moments of relaxation.

If being in the kitchen is something that relaxes you, look no further than this expansive modern outdoor kitchen, which was constructed using U-Cara® with Smooth fascia panels in Bavarian Blend. This entire space was further accentuated by a double-wide border of Town Hall® in Basalt, providing timeless appeal in a product that was modeled after the style of North American clay street pavers.

Some enticing features that were incorporated into this modern outdoor kitchen design include a grill station, a U-shaped bar island with a built-in mini fridge, and enticing features like a wood-fired smoker, sink, and integrated fire feature. Elevated bar chairs invite guests to gather, fostering lively conversations over food and drinks. As the night deepens, the ambiance shifts with patio lighting illuminating the granite countertops and Town Hall accent band, enveloping the modern outdoor kitchen in a romantic glow, encouraging the conversations to continue well into the night.
