The homeowners behind this backyard patio wanted to incorporate several cozy seating nooks and an L-shaped grill island for the perfect outdoor party venue.
This backyard patio is divided into separate “rooms”, the first of which features a wood pergola providing shade to a dining room table and chairs, adjacent to a stunning fire feature and patio chairs. Both areas utilize Unilock Artline pavers laid on a 45 degree angle, using a mix of smooth and brushed Il Campo textures for a distinctly modern feel. This is enhanced by various vertical elements, including the fire pit, low seat walls, pillars and grill island, all created using Unilock Lineo Dimensional Stone in Sierra and lined with accent lighting to create ambience and help with navigating the patio at night. Unilock Town Hall pavers in Basalt delineate the edges of each vertical feature, as well as create borders for each seating room. Town Hall is a member of the Elegance family of pavers, which combines Ultima concrete’s excellent durability with deep, rich colors and a wide variety of Reala textures to provide a distinctive and timeless beauty unmatched by traditional paving products.
Unilock Ledgestone in Buff is used for the step treads leading down to the main patio floor, as well as the coping that tops the low seat walls and pillars. When used as a step tread or wall finish, ledgestone pavers are exceptionally durable products with a highly detailed surface texture. Finally, a T-shaped swath of Unilock Bristol Valley in Steel Mountain runs the length of the house, bisecting into the two outdoor rooms to create a distinct patio walkway with cohesive color tones.
