Homeowners wanted to incorporate an outdoor kitchen, flagstone floor pavers and various vertical elements to create a multi-functional outdoor space that could be enjoyed by all.
The main paver floor uses Unilock Beacon Hill Flagstone in Almond Grove, which has a subtle surface texture that is easy to walk on in bare feet, bringing a relaxed look and feel to this outdoor project. A double wide inset border of Unilock Copthorne in Basalt is used to encapsulate the upper patio, delineating the edges of the space. Copthorne pavers, which are part of the Elegance line, are inspired by the timeworn beauty of European street pavers, with distinct surface textures cast using Reala technology, and delivering up to four times the strength of conventional concrete with Ultima concrete. Using Unilock Estate Wall in Sierra and a single accent band of Copthorne in Basalt, the multi-purpose outdoor kitchen and smoker was built. Estate Wall has a lovely, vintage-style texture that resembles weathered rock. This multi-purpose outdoor kitchen and smoker ensures that many summer nights will be spent cooking outdoors. Bar stools, as well as an adjacent outdoor dining table and chairs provide multiple seating areas to enjoy barbecue and drinks with friends.
