These homeowners faced a unique design challenge that only a two tier patio could solve. With a steep grade between the rear of the home and a pool nestled deep within the tree lined property, it was decided that an elevated patio using Unilock U-Cara Multi-Face Wall system would be built.
To assist give the room a more natural feel, pitched face U-Cara panels in the colour Granite were chosen. A set of steps connecting the spaces was built, carved into one end of the patio, and flanked by a set of pillars, all lined with Unilock Universal coping in Grey. The planter wall was created to soften the view from the pool to the patio. Metal fencing around the upper deck of the two tier patio ensures the family’s two kids would not trip and fall from the upper deck during play. U-Cara was used to construct the multi-purpose outdoor kitchen, with a rectangular wooden dining table adjacent to the kitchen for an intimate dining space. A modest table and chairs along the fence line create a comfortable area for the homeowners to have a cup of coffee while overlooking the pool.
