Sleek Modern Concrete Walkway

Homeowners wanted to create a modern concrete walkway using plank pavers that perfectly complement the style and tones of the home’s pillars and exterior trim.

To do this, Unilock Artline pavers in Granite were selected, delivering on the design goal of a modern, contemporary look using plank style pavers. Artline pavers come in seven different sizes that are laid in a running bond style pattern, and are available in a variety of different colors and textures to create your own bespoke design project. Homeowners in this case opted for a smooth finish as it is more comfortable to walk on in bare feet. With the added benefit of being an EnduraColor product, the surface of Artline pavers will retain its original color for years after installation.

Accompanying Artline on this project is Unilock Series in Black Granite, which acts as a thick inset border around the perimeter of this modern concrete walkway. Traditionally a commercial streetscape paver, the exposed aggregate surface of Series adds texture and sparkle to the project, while the dark color echoes the tones of the home. The unique surface texture and long-lasting performance makes Series an excellent banding choice for outdoor patio projects, as well as any vertical features.

For curb appeal with a punch, lush, green ferns in plain, black pots finish the design. Finally, some additional flower gardens were planted on both sides of the entryway, encompassed by rows of natural stone outcropping, that border the modern concrete walkway add the necessary touches of color to help balance the otherwise muted tapestry.
