When it comes time to combine elements of minimalism and exciting graphic design, what better place to see those two worlds collide than in your own backyard? For this project, the owners of this modern home wanted to elevate their backyard patio and modern outdoor kitchen into the ultra-modern category to make it the envy of the neighborhood.

In order to do that, a daring combination of paver color tones and finishes were achieved. Unilock Beacon Hill Smooth slabs in Opal Blend were placed in a running bond pattern across the back patio, achieving a look of minimalism. In contrast, a darker paver border of Unilock Copthorne in Basalt was used to encompass the slabs. The running bond pattern was repeated using the darker Copthorne border to help draw the eye from one end of the backyard to the other, as well as to help highlight the project’s exciting outdoor features, including the modern outdoor kitchen, fire table and seating walls. This entertainer’s delight also includes a U-shaped seating wall that surrounds the stunning fire feature, creating a beautiful spot for social gatherings, or as a relaxing lounge spot to read a good book. Lounge chairs and additional seating stretch across the patio parallel to where a modern outdoor kitchen, sink and dining room table with its own unique fire centerpiece are present. Finally, an above-ground Jacuzzi installation rounds out the outdoor BBQ collection, making this backyard patio the place everyone will want to gather.
