What ingredients go into making a paver?
Our paving stones are made with several ingredients, including sharp sand, stone chips, cement powder, water, color pigment, and other additives that assist with curing, de-molding, and reducing efflorescence. Our higher-end EnduraColor™ products, for example, incorporate additional “secret sauce” ingredients to deliver a visually pleasing and highly durable product.
What are the advantages of a permeable paver vs. a non-permeable paver?
Permeable pavers have several bonus features that make them a more eco-friendly alternative, including addressing drainage issues, and greater resilience against the elements as opposed to traditional pavers. If you are considering a permeable paver installation, speak to a Unilock Authorized Contractor (UAC) to learn more.
Do tumbled pavers offer the same stain resistance as EnduraColor pavers?
No, tumbled products do not offer the same stain resistance. Many of our Unilock EnduraColor products are manufactured using a proprietary process that forms a higher density paver with surfaces that are extremely hard to permanently stain.
What’s the difference between EnduraColor and Elegance?
The key differences come down to manufacturing, durability, and aesthetics. EnduraColor is designed for lasting color and durability, while Elegance takes it a step further with ultra-realistic textures and four times the strength of poured concrete. Plus, all Elegance products come factory-sealed with EasyClean™ technology, whereas only select EnduraColor products include this feature.
What’s the difference between Classic Coat and EasyClean?
Classic Coat enhances color while protecting against surface wear.
