What are the most popular paving and wall products for building fire pits?
You can use U-Cara®, Brussels Dimensional Stone®, Lineo™ Dimensional Stone, or Pisa™ products to build your fire pit. If you’re looking to incorporate banding accents, Series™, Copthorne®, or Mattoni™ are excellent products that add style and distinct colors to create a unique-looking fire pit.
How do I decide between a wood-burning or gas-burning fire pit?
Both options are great, but the choice between wood-burning and gas-burning will depend largely on your budget. Wood-burning fire pits tend to be more affordable than gas-burning fire pits, but they do require more work to keep them lit, as opposed to gas-burning, which is reliant on using natural gas or propane. Your Authorized Contractor is an excellent asset, as they can help provide a free estimate to determine which type of fire pit is the better option.
Is it cheaper to purchase a fire pit kit than to build a fire pit from scratch using pavers?
Purchasing a fire pit kit is more cost-efficient since the packaged product comes with a metal insert and grill. The metal insert is an important piece to have that protects the structural integrity of your fire pit, preventing the walls from drying out or cracking due to prolonged heat exposure. However, you can still build a fire pit from scratch using our wall products, provided you select products that are suitable for this application, such as Brussels Block® or Lineo™ Dimensional Stone.
