Recently, Unilock Chicago hosted an Outdoor Living Event for homeowners that showcased their display of custom paver combinations, and original, one-of-a-kind patio installations. Also on hand, was industry expert Joe Raboine, President of Harmony Outdoor Living, who held interactive discussions on landscape industry trends, and advanced technology in 3-D landscape design imagery. Unilock also presented a talk on choosing the right paver for your project. The product selection process can be overwhelming at first, but when you’ve got the entire Unilock staff on hand to assist you, it makes it a simpler and enjoyable process!
The day was made even more enjoyable by Chicago Brick Oven who cooked pizzas during the event. Doesn’t walking around with a fresh slice of pepperoni pizza make everything more delightful?
While meandering through the extensive displays, at the one end, you’ll find an outdoor living room, complete with fireplace and water feature. Can you imagine family and friends sitting near the warmth of a fire on a cool night under the stars? At the other end, a custom kitchen, complete with a built-in grill, wood burning brick oven, and a Ciil outdoor TV. Whether you’re a professional chef or not, you could certainly feel like one while pulling an impressive and delicious bubbling pizza fresh out of the oven!
During the event, our staff spoke with homeowners that were considering everything from a patio upgrade to driveways to outdoor kitchens. One couple even drove 2 hours just to attend! Four hours, and 25 pizzas later, homeowners walked away with samples, and (hopefully) lots of inspiration and excitement about their landscape project!
People were saying that having a comfortable and attractive outdoor living space is like having a vacation retreat right outside your door. They also said that having the extra space was very handy when they had family or friends over for a visit. One couple said, “We just want to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine, it’s our only escape from the kids!”
While patios and porches do wonders for curb appeal, extending your outdoor living space into an area with a fire pit, fireplace, and even an outdoor kitchen is a gratifying way to increase your enjoyment at home, as well as its value.
