Halloween is always an exciting time of year for adults and children alike! Extra precautions should be taken to make certain your driveways, walkways and front entrances are safe for trick-or-treaters. Below is a list of things to remember, ensuring everyone has a safe and happy Halloween:
- • Make sure your walkways and front entrances are well lit (turn on your outdoor lights and replace light bulbs where necessary)
- • Remove items that might make a child (or their parent) trip
- • Get rid of wet leaves from your steps, walkways and driveways – this prevents stains on your pavers and children from slipping
- • Use alternatives to candles in your pumpkins – wax can leave difficult stains on your pavers and be a hazard for young visitors
- • If wax does spill onto your pavers, remove it right away by picking it off
- • Once the wax is removed you are dealing primarily with an oil stain
- • To remove oil stains use our Unilock® or Techniseal Professional Grade Oil and Grease Remover
- • Or, try using a home degreasing product such as dish detergent
- • Remember: Always test a small area to ensure the results are acceptable
