Is it cheaper to use poured concrete over concrete pavers?
In terms of upfront installation costs, poured concrete is generally more affordable per square foot due to lower material and labor expenses. However, while concrete pavers have a higher initial cost, they offer better long-term value with superior durability and ease of repair. Pavers are less prone to cracking, and damaged units can be easily replaced, unlike poured concrete which may require more costly repairs over time.
Do concrete pavers need to be sealed?
Unilock concrete pavers are designed to be highly durable and don’t require sealing for structural integrity. However, sealing is an option that some homeowners choose to enhance color retention or to add an extra layer of protection against stains from oil, dirt, or spills. While sealing can help preserve the appearance of pavers for even longer, it’s entirely optional and doesn’t affect the long-term durability of the product.
