Unilock Helps Eagle Scouts with Mission to Beautify Kenosia Park in Danbury, CT
This project was part of a donation to support an Eagle Scout mission to make improvements to Kenosia Park in Danbury, CT. The materials were supplied at a substantially reduced price to help the Eagle Scouts achieve their ambitious and noble goal. This durable Unilock Treo surface covers an area beneath a shade pavilion, simultaneously beautifying the park and contributing to lower maintenance costs of the park.
The project consists of a 2,000 sq ft patio which will include picnic benches and tables that community members of all ages can enjoy. The area is paved with Unilock Treo in the Almond Grove color option and includes a decorative, alternating border consisting of the colors Almond Grove and Granite Blend.
A large number of high precision, small piece cuts were required in this project in order to achieve the curve of the border, as well as to fill in the gaps around the pre-existing poles of the shade structure. Given the size of the park and the distance from electrical and water facilities, these cuts were made dry using portable, gas-powered grinders.
Unilock is proud to support community projects and charitable causes like this one. We congratulate Eagle Scouts, Reed and Jack Lyall, for their initiative in raising the funds and making this project a huge success.
