Timberwood Landscape Company uses Rivenstone Pavers to Create Stunning Patio in Worthington, OH
Timberwood Landscape Company created this gorgeous patio in Worthington, OH, for homeowners who were having a hard time visualizing their ideal landscape. After adding a sunroom, they wanted to expand their living space even further with a patio, but needed help bringing the project to life. Timberwood Landscape used Rivenstone pavers together with Rivercrest Wall to create a beautiful, modern patio that met all of the homeowner’s needs.
Before meeting with Timberwood Landscape Company, the homeowners met with three other landscaping companies. Unfortunately, none of them were able to help them realize their vision. When Timberwood supplied 3D drawings showing what their new patio would look like, they were ready to move forward with confidence.
The homeowners were partial to designs featuring natural bluestone patios, so the contractor introduced them to Rivenstone pavers. Rivenstone is available in a Bluestone color option and includes EnduraColor surface technology, ensuring the color won’t fade over time. Rivenstone pavers offer the look of natural stone with their textured surface, but provide the durability of concrete. Casting the pavers from molds of real quarried flagstone using Reala Surface Technology creates the realistic flagstone surface of these pavers.
Rivenstone pavers are available in three different sizes, which helps to create a more natural looking patio. Laying patterns for this size combination are available for download on the Unilock website. Note that Rivenstone is best for pedestrian applications such as patios, walkways and pool decks. Avoid using a plate tamper when compacting stones after installation.
The striking charcoal grey border is made with Series pavers. These pavers contain granite, quartz and feldspar crystals throughout their surface which gives them a unique, glittering finish. EnduraColor Plus technology will help keep the finish looking great for the lifetime of the pavers. Series pavers come in 4” x 8”” units that work well as a sailor or soldier course border. They are also ideal for creating accents in walls and other vertical elements.
Rivercrest Wall offers the appearance of natural dry-stacked flagstone. The units feature a realistic texture on both sides to help make installation easier. With both corner and pillar units, Rivercrest Wall is ideal for constructing hardscaping elements such as straight or curved walls, pillars and fire features. A helpful Installation Guide for contractors is available from the Unilock website. Ledgestone coping in Buff tops the seating walls and fire feature.
This beautiful patio was a project of the week from 2015 and still looks fabulous. The yard also looks stunning at night, especially when the fire feature is lit. The inset lights in the stair risers and seating walls increase safety and also add ambiance. The clients love their new patio and enjoy having expanded outdoor living space.
