Rich Textures Define this Sunken Fire Pit Patio by Pace Landscaping & Ice Rinks in West Seneca, NY
This cozy backyard fire pit was constructed by Pace Landscaping & Ice Rinks in West Seneca, NY. The contractor ensured that the low wall enclosing the space left just enough room for a cozy arrangement of chairs, facilitating easy conversation and maximising the warmth and light received.
Richcliff pavers in a blend of Pebble Taupe and Dawn Mist can be found underfoot, accented by Basalt Town Hall borders. The Town Hall borders not only line the perimeter of the outdoor room, but also surround the base of the fire pit. This makes the fire pit appear more anchored and allows it to blend more seamlessly into the surrounding hardscape.
The same Basalt Town Hall pavers can be found lining the Rivercrest Wall that encloses the outdoor room. Matching borders and banding is just one way to ensure that your end product is cohesive and appears ‘finished’. The Coastal Slate Rivercrest Wall enclosing this outdoor room can also be found at its center, making up the body of the fire pit. This results in a wonderfully balanced design that facilitates an effortless visual flow from one feature to the next. Both the perimeter wall and fire pit are topped with Ledgestone coping in the Buff color variation.
The crescent shaped low wall enclosing this fire pit is punctuated by two short pillars made of the same material. These pillars simply serve to finish off the wall and give it a clean, professional appearance. Two chic minimalistic lanterns were selected to top off the pillars and add further ambience to the space.
A stout step descends into this sunken outdoor room, which is at a slightly lower level than the adjacent hardscape. Sunken outdoor rooms tend to offer a more private or cozy look and feel and are well suited to fire pits and intimate dining areas.
