Available in classic shapes and styles, these products utilize a traditional product mix of large and small aggregates that’s consistent from top to bottom with color mixed throughout.
The refined surface of Unilock EnduraColor products is achieved with a two-step manufacturing process that combines a base of coarser aggregates for a stronger foundation, with concentrated color and wear-resistant finer aggregates on top. This process protects the surface from the appearance of fading over time because the top layer prevents large, lighter color aggregates from ever showing through.

A discussion on street level roof decks, such as surfaces over parking garages designed for pedestrian and vehicular loads, and elevated roof decks above street level. Exterior building spaces and roofs have significantly transformed from utilitarian ballasted roof systems to roof systems with highly functional people-friendly amenities that promote healthier lifestyles. A variety of products and materials can be utilized in the design and construction of roof gardens, public amenity spaces and private terraces. This course will review the construction of basic types of roof systems, as well as the range of hardscaping products that are available to designers. It will cover and include examples of a variety of systems such as those using pedestals, or dry laid over an aggregate base.

This course discusses the components of a PICP system and how they work together to manage storm water in a variety of applications. Hydrological and structural factors to consider when designing with PICP, and how PICP contributes to sustainable building goals and projects are also addressed.
