Flores and Sons Brick Pavers and Landscaping LLC Demonstrates a Randomized Laying Pattern for Large Backyard Patio

Large patio projects can often appear monotonous unless techniques are used to break up repetitive textures, patterns, or colors. To avoid this, Flores and Sons Brick Pavers and Landscaping LLC have selected the varying tones of Treo EnduraColor in the New York Blend color option to add subtle depth. This has been combined with a stacked bond border featuring Treo EnduraColor in the Charcoal color option to highlight the deep undertones of this NJ patio’s main body.

In addition, the crew has made full use of Treo’s size options with the inclusion of a randomized laying pattern. Without the obvious repetition of a grid, this laying pattern allows for a more natural, organic look. To make random laying patterns like this one simpler for contractors, Unilock provides random bundles for all multi-sized paver products. Pattern sheets are also available in PDF format from the Unilock website for download or printing. These sheets can be used to guide the laying process and assist with planning. For architects and designers, Unilock has made these patterns available for download in AutoCad hatch pattern format (*.pat) for use in architectural drawings.

The third step taken in the construction process to minimize monotony while maintaining subtlety is the inclusion of a Unilock fire pit. While the patio will still be adorned with furniture and other features, the fire pit forms the central feature, providing a focus for the space. The fire pit incorporated here is the Sunset Firepit Kit in the Limestone color option with a Basic Ring insert.

All base materials and Unilock Products featured in this project were supplied by LE-ED Concrete & Supply Co., a trusted Unilock Supplier serving Monmouth and Ocean Counties in NJ.
