Environmental Landscape Design use Town Hall Pavers to Complement Traditional Architecture in South New Jersey
This project from Environmental Landscape Design features a front walkway, ribbon driveway and backyard patio area, all paved in Town Hall pavers from Unilock. The Town Hall pavers and quaint design elements complement this South New Jersey home’s charming traditional architecture and contribute to a warm, welcoming aesthetic.
A ribbon driveway design was chosen because of its antique appeal. While the driveway apron and parking area feature a herringbone laying pattern with soldier course border, a running bond laying pattern was chosen for the ribbons of the driveway. This pattern picks up on the visual cues of the brickwork included in the home’s exterior.
Similarly, the front walkway offers a charming welcome to guests while complementing pre-existing brick vertical elements. The walkway, too, makes use of a herringbone laying pattern that guides the eye toward the front door of the home with its strong directional emphasis.
Far from being monotonous, interest is maintained throughout this project with the use of a 3 Color Blend, captivating laying patterns and bold geometry. Bright flowers and lush plantings further contribute to the visual interest of this design and complement the quaint, traditional theme.
Because of their ultra-realistic, timeworn surface texture – achieved using casts of actual brick – Town Hall pavers are ideal for complementing homes with historical personality. Their vibrant colors are also protected by EnduraColor Facemix Technology, ensuring that their inviting character is not diminished over time. As well as the 3 Color Blend seen here, Town Hall pavers are available in the individual colors of Burgundy Red, Burnt Clay and Old Oak, as well as Basalt, Heritage Red, Heritage Clay, and the Heritage 2 Color Blend.
