Environmental Landscape Design Coordinate Greys for Elegant Pool Deck in Sea Girt, NJ
Environmental Landscape Design have chosen a refined, soothing color palette for this pool deck project in Sea Girt, NJ. The project includes a Unilock Beacon Hill Flagstone poolside patio in the Steel Mountain color option with Copthorne accents. These pavers match and complement various stone veneer vertical elements which are also included in the project.
While carefully coordinating colors is always important in hardscape design, it’s perhaps even more critical when the colors are subtle and muted. Environmental Landscape Design have done an excellent job here in matching the colors of the hardscape materials, both with other hardscape elements, as well as with the colors of the home. The white of the home’s door and window frames are picked up by the highlights of the Beacon Hill pool deck, while the warm grey of the facing and texture of the stone chimney are both complemented by the hardscape. The dark slate tiles of the roof, likewise, are matched by the Copthorne border of the patio.
Because the pool is uncovered, the Environmental Landscape Design team are careful to limit airborne dust as much as possible. This is achieved by using the dustless water-hose feature on their cut-off saws while shaping the blocks that will be used to construct the vertical features.
Opposite the home, a stone veneer fireplace picks up on the design cues of the home’s stone chimney. The fireplace reinforces the design’s strong sense of symmetry and forms an attractive gathering point for people enjoying the pool area.
