Diamond Landscaping of Pittsburgh, PA create Unique Patio Design with Unilock Pavers and Wall Units
These homeowners were searching for a comfortable haven in which they could extend their outdoor festivities into chilly evenings and cooler months. Diamond Landscaping, Inc, of Pittsburgh, PA, responded by creating this inviting patio and fireplace.
These homeowners entrusted Unilock products with complementing their existing home and hardscape, due to the sheer selection of colors and textures offered by Unilock range of pavers and wall units. Beacon Hill Flagstone in the Sierra shade was selected as this patio’s primary paver. The paved surface blends seamlessly into the low walls that run along its perimeter, as they are comprised of Brussels Dimensional Stone in the same smoky shade: Sierra. The low walls are highlighted by the presence of jet black banding, comprised of Series 3000 pavers. The addition of a thin strip of banding may seem subtle, but this has a powerful effect on the visual dimension and wow-factor of any wall.

The cozy corner at the far end of the patio features a pre-built Tuscany fireplace from Unilock. This fireplace is constructed from Brussels Dimensional Stone, with an assembly of Copthorne accent pavers concentrated at its face. Unilock pre-built fireplaces can be shipped immediately and installed within one day. Therefore, they are good candidates for clients who would rather not wait to enjoy their new patio.
Diamond Landscaping, Inc. decided to pull out all the stops at the entrance to their client’s home. They opted for an intricate paved motif that stands out without clashing with the color palette of the surrounding hardscape. A three-color-blend of Copthorne pavers was chosen for the body of the entrance. These rich pavers are accented by Series 3000 pavers in Black Granite and punctuated by a neat diamond comprised of Summer Wheat Umbriano pavers.
Despite displaying a rich array of textures, this hardscape subscribes to a rather minimalist color palette. Light beiges, deep browns and black are repeated throughout the hardscape in a well-spaced and balanced fashion. These natural colors are highly compatible with modern designs and tend to grant any hardscape a chic, sophisticated look and feel. This color palette is combined with a comprehensive range of stone, brick, wood and leafy textures to achieve a perfectly balanced design.
