Decra-Scape Solves Driveway Paving Problem in Grosse Ile, MI with Belpasso Pavers
This large-scale driveway project in Grosse-Ile, MI was completed by Decra-Scape using Belpasso pavers in Nuvola. The client originally wanted to extend their existing driveway using the same pavers they already had. But they hit a roadblock when they found out the original pavers were no longer available.
The homeowners weren’t sure how to handle the setback and were unable to envision the driveway without the original pavers. Determined to find a solution, their Unilock Representative prepared 3D renderings showing a potential new option. With the help of the 3D renderings, the project was able to move forward.
Once the homeowners were able to envision the new driveway and see how much it improved the exterior appearance of their home, they were open to switching to a new paver. Upon learning the many benefits of Belpasso pavers, they were immediately on board and the project was completed with Belpasso pavers.
The blended grey tones of the pavers provide a modern look and complement the sand colored edging well. A running bond pattern with a soldier course border creates clean lines and supports the modern style. The graceful curve of the driveway adds interest and grandeur to what might’ve have been a plain asphalt driveway, had the homeowners not been convinced by Unilock pavers.
Belpasso pavers feature a nearly impenetrable non-slip surface, making them ideal for any exterior paving project. They are manufactured with TitanTec™ Surface Technology which provides unmatched stain resistance. The result is a surface that repels all stains, including dirt, algae and gum. Belpasso pavers also feature Unilock EasyClean™ Stain Resistance surface protection that makes cleaning up spills much easier.
Belpasso pavers are 23/4” thick and are available in both square (8” x8”) and rectangular (8″ x 16″) units. Selecting stones from multiple palettes will result in the most even color distribution. Using a protective pad during installation will help protect the stones during the final paver compaction.
This project of the week from 2015 started out with a disappointing setback, but with some creative thinking from a Unilock Authorized Contractor, the new driveway ended up even better than imagined.
