This inviting front entrance was created by Hollandale Landscaping & Garden Centre Ltd. in Brighton, ON. The contractors used the siding of the home as inspiration for the color palette and theme of the driveway and patio.
The Town Hall pavers underfoot showcase the beautiful blue and red undertones of the Heritage 2 Colour Blend variation. These undertones, and the light intensity of their delivery, can also be found in the existing stone siding of the home. This similarity allows the hardscape to flow seamlessly into the architecture of the home, visually linking the two features as parts of the same property. The Town Hall pavers are arranged in a neat, effortless running bond formation that can serve to simplify a design and give it a cleaner appearance.
Rather than creating a flat expanse of identical pavers, the contractors installed this front entrance at multiple levels, ensuring a more captivating and characterful end product. Each level is framed by coping that offers visual relief from the repetition of Town Hall pavers and adds clear definition to the layout of the design.
The pairing of these pastel Town Hall pavers with a red brick home has resulted in a beautiful color contrast. Warm and cool elements are juxtaposed in this design to deliver a powerful visual effect. While the contrast was already present in the addition of cool stone to the siding of the home, the contractors opted to extend and amplify this look.
Town Hall pavers are excellently suited to areas of high foot traffic or vehicular pressure because they are reinforced by Ultima Concrete Technology from Unilock. This exclusive technology imbues each paver with four times the strength of poured concrete, preventing the formation of cracks under pressure. The medium sized format of Town Hall pavers also ensures that paved surfaces are filled with flexible joints and are able to yield to large forces.
