30+ years of innovation
For over 30 years Unilock has grown the business solely on the demands of the landscape industry. In fact, we introduced the first tumbled paving stone to North America over 15 years ago. Shortly after introducing Brussels Block®, the first tumbled paving stone, and it's cousin, Brussels Dimensional Stone® garden wall, we introduced Series 3000® and Unigranite® with their varied aggregate surfaces. Not long after that, Unilock brought in the unique Il Campo® "brushed-face" surface technology from Europe, and now we're introducing our unrivaled Designer Collection™, paving stones that capture both the time-worn elegance of old-world Europe and the sleekness of contemporary design.

The Timeline
- 1972: Unilock® opened its doors for business. With 10 employees the first manufacturing plant was located in Barrie, Ontario Canada.
- 1974: Unilock® lands it first commercial project at the Metro Toronto Zoo, laying thousands of square feet of Unistone®
- 1974: Unilock® opens its' first U.S. Location in Buffalo, New York
- 1975: Unilock® launches Uni-Cobble® (known in some areas as Uni-Decor®)
- 1984: Unilock's plant in Georgetown, Ontario is completed and begins full production
- 1987: Unilock's Pickering, Ontario plant begins production and opens a plant in Aurora, Illinois. Just outside of Chicago.
- 1989: Unilock® opens in Brighton, Michigan
- 1990: Unilock® opens a manufacturing plant in Brewster, New York
- 1994: Unilock® launches the first ever tumbled paving stone in North America with Brussels Block®
- 1995: Unilock® opens another plant in Aurora, Illinois
- 1997: Unilock® opens a location in Rochester, New York
- 1998: Unilock® begins manufacturing in a second plant in Brewster, New York, and celebrates 25 years of innovation.
- 1999: Unilock® opens a location in Rittman, Ohio
- 2000: Unilock® opens a third plant in Aurora, Illinois
- 2001: Unilock® opens a plant in Uxbridge, Massachusetts
- 2003: Unilock® opens a revolutionary, state-of-the-art plant in Aurora, Illinois
- 2004: Unilock® launches the Elegance™ Line (Copthorne® and Courtstone®)
- 2005: Unilock® launches Wetcast products (Yorkstone® and Rivenstone® available in specific locations only)
- 2007: Unilock® opens exclusive Elegance paver plant plant in Ayr, Ontario
- 2008: Unilock® introduces Pre-Built Outdoor Design Solutions, and Belpasso pavers featuring CleanTop Technology.
